Sales Engineer ManagerLocation: Stoneham, MA or Milpitas, CA The Manager of Sales Engineering reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for supporting the Sales Directors for all their pre-sales requirements.Responsibilities • Ensure that all Sales System Engineers trained at a level that allows them to accomplish their job criteria, including but not limited to in-house company technical and professional training, as well as personal development. • Work with Sales Directors to ensure their pre-sales objectives are met, by ensuring the technical skill level is available for sales presentations and product demonstrations; as well be responsible for making certain that forecast objectives are met. • Attend sales visits to ensure pre-sales team member proficiency • Manage SE schedules for optimum utilization of resources. • Timely completion of personnel related tasks, including but not limited Expense reports, Quarterly and Annual evaluations. • Work with Sales Directors, Strategic Account Directors and Federal National Sales Directors to ensure their pre-sales needs are met • Develop SE experts to align with product lines defined by corporate marketing • Keep track of all pre-sales related equipment (laptops, cell phones, etc.) • Monitor travel and expenses • Develop and execute employee recruiting, retention and quality strategies. • Delegation, directing others, task prioritization and follow up, motivating others, negotiating, planning, time management, managing vision and purpose. Qualifications and requirements At least 5+ years previous Pre-Sales Systems Engineering Management or other Management experience for a security hardware or software vendor (preferably Security, Storage, Software, Networks, Telecom, Wireless. Ambitious, hard-working, goal oriented, team player and enthusiastic. Strong presentation skills required Management Background in a successful, high profile firm from any of the following firms strongly preferred: Safenet Thales Tumbleweed A BS in computer science, engineering, a related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
