Robert Jeens, non-executive ChairmanRobert Jeens (53) joined the Board of nCipher plc on 12 December 2006. Robert has some 30 years' experience within large financial services businesses, initially as a partner in Touche Ross & Co. and latterly as Finance Director at Kleinwort Benson Group plc and Woolwich plc. Robert has also held a range of non-executive appointments focussed on technology and financial services businesses, these include serving as Chairman of m.a. partners (recently sold to Detica Group plc), Causeway Technologies Inc. and Protx Group Limited. Robert Jeens is currently a non-executive director of Bank Insinger de Beaufort N.V., Dialight plc, TR European Growth Trust plc, The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited and other private companies.

Richard Gourlay, non-executive DirectorRichard Gourlay (50) joined the Board of nCipher Corporation Limited in 1997 and joined the Board on September 28, 2000. Since 2005 he has been Managing Director of Sussex Place Ventures, the venture capital company owned by the London Business School. For nine years from 1996 he was an investment director at Top Technology Ventures which made investments in early stage businesses including nCipher. Prior to Top Technology Ventures Mr Gourlay spent nine years working as a journalist for the Financial Times in Asia and London after training as a banker with Citibank N.A.

James Urquhart, non-executive DirectorJames Urquhart (49) has been a Director of nCipher Corporation Limited since January 2000 and joined the Board on 28 September 2000. Mr Urquhart is a Director of Splashpower Limited, a private company developing wireless power transfer systems. In addition he is a non-executive Director of PicoChip Designs Limited (March 2002), Antenova Limited (July 2002) and a venture partner with Pond Venture Partners Ltd (December 2004) and is a Director of two Pond Investments. He was with ARM Holdings plc, from its inception in November 1990 until November 2002. During that time he undertook a number of roles, including chief operating officer and Director, and latterly chief strategy officer. Before that he was with Acorn Computers Limited, joining in 1984 as a VLSI Design Engineer, becoming VLSI Design Manager of the VLSI Design Group. Prior to that he was with Plessey Research Limited, where he worked on analog and digital developments utilising high-speed CMOS, Bipolar and Gallium Arsenide technologies. Mr Urquhart holds a BSc from Bath University in Physical Electronics.

Geoffrey Finlay, Chief Executive OfficerGeoffrey Finlay (54) joined the Board of nCipher plc on 3 December 2007. Geoffrey brings more than 25 years experience within the enterprise software industry. He was Chief Executive Officer at Kewill Systems plc until 2001, having previously been Managing Director of JDA Software Inc, Intersolv plc and Data 3 Systems Inc. Since leaving Kewill, he has served as Chairman on the boards of several technology companies, including Cachelogic and UDEX, primarily leading them on their strategies and business development, and is the founder and non-executive Chairman of Biobanc Group (formerly Life4ce), a life sciences services company.

Ira Zalesin, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer North America Ira Zalesin (52) joined the Board of nCipher plc on 31 December 2007. Ira brings more than 25 years experience within both US and UK public and private companies. He was Chief Executive Officer at UDEX Holdings until 2006. Previously he was Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Strategic Advisor to the Board at Kewill Systems plc. Since leaving UDEX he has been an advisor to the boards of several technology companies on their expansion strategies and business development.

George Ralph, Company SecretaryGeorge Ralph is responsible for the financial management and control of nCipher's operations. George is an experienced company secretary and divisional finance director, most recently as Finance Director (Europe) of Abacus Group plc. Previously he was Group Financial Controller and Group Company Secretary of Deltron Electronics plc, which was acquired by Abacus Group plc in January 2006.
