Woburn, MA — nCipher, Inc., a leading developer of high-performance security products for e-commerce and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) applications, today announced that Tokyo Electron Ltd., a seller and provider of leading-edge network products, will resell nCipher's line of hardware security modules (HSMs) to the Japanese market. nCipher's hardware security products are essential for e-businesses that demand high-level protection for their secure online services.

Under the terms of the agreement, Tokyo Electron will offer nCipher's HSMs as a core component of the Internet products and services offered to its customers. nCipher's nForce™ and nShield™ technologies will be used by Tokyo Electron's customers to protect the integrity of their PKI based systems and to optimize the speed and security of private connections to secure Web sites.
