In 1977, Koscom was established by the Ministry of Finance and the Korea Stock Exchange to computerize the securities markets and related industries systems.  Since its foundation as a professional financial IT solutions firm, Koscom has led the development of the Korea capital market through implementing and operating complex and advanced IT infrastructures.

In 1999 Koscom established the certification authority, SignKorea, and in 2000 was accredited by the Korean government to provide certificaton services based on the accumulated experience and know-how of a group of computer and informaion security experts.  As Korea's first accredited certficate authority, SignKorea has been providing certifcations services and PKI solutions in areas such as online trading, online banking, e-marketplace, e-government service and medical services.
