nCipher’s Secure Execution Engine, or SEE, offers tamper-resistant security for sensitive application code. Critical code can be run in a fully protected environment within the nCipher hardware security module (HSM).

Protect sensitive computer logic

Use of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) is the accepted best practice to secure the keys that underpin encryption, signing and authentication. But you may also need to protect the computer logic that uses those keys – especially where your host server is located in a remote site or in a public environment.  Rather than store the sensitive application logic in memory, where it’s in the clear and at risk of being tampered with, the logic can be executed within the highly secure HSM environment.

CodeSafe is a developer toolkit that enables organizations to employ SEE technology for their sensitive application code.  It contains a detailed description of how to implement and rollout embedded security processes with nCipher’s cryptographic hardware. nCipher offers development consulting services to assist with the design and implementation process.
