The nCipher Time Stamp Server (TSS) is a cost-efficient and effective approach to integrating time stamping into business-critical applications.  The TSS digitally signs documents or audit information on behalf of a person, department or company.  TSS digital signatures are cryptographically bound to a document through standard public key signing methods, sealing the document to make it tamper evident.  Once it has been calibrated with a time source, such as nCipher’s Time Source Master Clock, the TSS can supply time stamps for any PKIX compliant time stamping request.

The nCipher Time Source Master Clock (TSMC) contains a Rubidium atomic clock to maintain highly accurate time behind the internal firewall, avoiding the need to coordinate time with outside sources.  The extraordinary precision of the Rubidium clock dramatically reduces the need for recalibration, increasing security and accuracy.
